Reducing the 45% turnover rate among Direct Support Professionals (DSP) nationally has long been one of ANCOR’s policy priorities. Following up on the research first released in our 2017 white paper on the workforce crisis, we’re now working to develop workforce proposals that we will be urging Congress to adopt in the coming weeks. While the workforce crisis has multiple facets and there is no silver bullet to address them all, congressional action on these proposals would overcome challenges facing DSPs and providers. We hope you will join ANCOR in moving the political conversation towards proactive solutions for DSPs and the important work they do.
