One year ago, ANCOR and NADD partnered together to host a multi-part webinar series on dual diagnoses. The unprecedented attendance in the series made us realize there has been a hunger for these sessions, as agencies and staff seek out the most compassionate and effective approaches to support a person who is dually-diagnosed with I/DD and mental health needs.
This February 2018, the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) and NADD, an association for persons with developmental disabilities and mental health needs, are proud to partner again to offer another multi-part webinar series, building on the feedback from last year’s series.
In February and March, we will host five webinars that will discuss: supporting individuals at risk of challenging sexual behaviors, trauma-informed care, role of the interdisciplinary team in mental health assessments, emotional regulation, and grief treatment.
Webinars are open to everyone, but ANCOR and NADD members can register at a significant discount. Multiply your savings by registering for the entire series and receive an additional 20% off!
Full series purchase entitles registrant to all webinar recordings and materials made available for each session.

In this webinar participants will learn the five steps to becoming trauma-responsive (the next step after trauma –informed) and how to stay that way. We will cover:
- How trauma affects us, neurologically (consumer and staff).
- Why responsiveness to trauma must be applied universally and how to do it.
- Why any effective approach to responsiveness to trauma must focus on staff and their interactions.
- The three elements of trauma responsiveness: safe, connected, and in control.
- Why efforts to respond to trauma must involve the whole organization in order to be sustainable.
